The Nashville BBQ Experience - Wed 10th August @ 7pmInspired by Pitmaster Pat Martin we are hosting a pop-up eat and learn event at our HQ.
Cost:€90.00 per person
About this experience
Inspired by Pitmaster Pat Martin we are hosting a pop-up eat and learn event at our HQ. When you arrive, you will be actively helping to cook and prepare BBQ nachos with chuck beef chilli.
After starters we will be tucking into sliced smoked turkey with a side of mac and cheese. We will make the mac and cheese and the turkey will finish cooking as you arrive.
For dessert our resident baker, Laura, will have prepared a Lane Cake as featured in To Kill A Mockingbird.
We will serve a complimentary Barbacoa Rum or Low 'n' Sloe Gin for the non-drivers, and you are welcome to BYOB. There will be loads of soft drinks available. Everyone will take home recipes and instructions for all the dishes.
BBQ Nachos & Chuck Chilli
Sliced Smoked Irish Turkey
Mac & Cheese
Sourdough Breads & Salads
Soft Drinks & Water, Tea & Pitmaster Coffee
During this event you will learn how to use a Dutch Oven (temperature control etc). You will learn how to know when poultry is cooked and how to serve it. You will learn how to make home-made mac and cheese. There will be plenty of food and nobody will leave hungry.
We have ample parking at the venue. All food and equipment is provided. There will be basic toilet facilities. The venue is partially outdoors (with shelter available) so please bring a rain coat. The venue is accessible, but you may need some assistance with a low step. Children are welcome, but please be aware that we are on a very busy main road and constant supervision is required. Children do not need as ticket if you are happy to share with them.
Please note we cannot cater for allergens, dietary requirements, or special requests. Most of the main courses in this series are gluten free and if you let us know we will try and cater for gluten free. The home made cakes are not possible to make with GF flour. This event is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians!
You will not be handling raw meat. You will be provided with hand-washing facilities. You will be partly preparing your own food and this is a learning event rather than a catering event. We are approved by the HSE to make cakes and prepare sauces in our kitchen and we have HACCP training. All other meal prep will be hands on and part of the learning event.
Laura & Ruairi are obsessive barbeque and baking fanatics and we want to bring our joy for food to you.
